It seems there is never enough time in the day. I thought when you retired you had more time, but it seems you have more to do. Well I'm not bored. We had fun on the fourth of July with Sharla's family and Diane's family over. We saw the fireworks from our backyard. The legal ones and the illegal ones. This is still a hard night for me, as I can't take the explosions. Left over from my time in the Army.
I got a new program for the family tree. I tried a short cut to transfer all 2315 names, but it didn't work so I'm doing them one at a time. I've gotten over hal of them transfered but still have over nine hundred left. Any one is invited to help if they would like to.
Many birthdays this month. Sharla (my daughter), Suzane (my daughter-in -law) Linda (my great wife) Jacob (my grandson born on my wife's birthday), and Tina later this week.
I had an old friend Alex and his wife Rocki stop by yesterday. We have known each other for over twenty years. He is writing about the Vietnam Veterans guys that started our local chapter back in the early eighties. I am also doing the history so we are planning to get together in October or November with four others from the group. This will be the first time we will have all been together since my Dad's funeral back in 1987. Zack was the school prinipal for three of my kids. Gary lived on the same street as I did for ten years. Mike, I have seen every year on Veterans Day and Memorial Day when he was the Master of Ceremonies. Frank is the guy who saved four of us after we got back from Viet Nam when we were all crazy. He was able to get us through all of the bad memories we have from the war and helped us become who we are today. Alex was in the same Unit I was in back in Viet Nam.
So you see if I don't have a chance to write know that I am thinking about you all, and wish you all well. As always I hope to see you all soon.
