All is well

I guess life is becoming boring. We are walking almost every day. As we walked we noticed all of the trash on the sidwalk and in the road. We also noticed all of the yard sale signs taped on every stop sign in the neighborhood. Linda and I could vnot take it any more so we went to the local hardware store and bought a "Grabber" It is a pole with to pads on the end that let you pick up things. The next day we started our walk with a large garbage bag, pocket knife, and wire cutters. We walked the same route as always, but it took twice as long. When we got home the garbage bag was full but the street looked alot better. We were suprised that as we walked and picked up trash and cleared the old signs off the poles several people thanked us as they drove by. The next day we went in the other direction and filled up more bags. Our walks are much nicer now as the amount we pick up is less every time we go out. I'm not sure, but I think the people that drive by see us and now are not throwing out the trash on the street. I only hope they are not throwing it out on someone elses street. We love were we live. It is slowly growing bigger, but it still has that small town fill. I know many have never been here, but we hope some day everyone will pay us a visit. Until then take care, and be happy.

Good for you! I've done that before when walking the kids home from school, it does make you feel funny. I didn't have a grabber though! ha ha!
