Well Sharla talked Linda into going camping for the first time.
The nearest thing to camping Linda had done before was spending a night in the back of a pickup truck.
We went to Lake Jennings in San Diego County. The lake is man made, and is in the hills north east of San Diego. We got a camp site with a few trees and set up the tents. Sharla loaded us a three man tent as no reason to buy one until we found out how Linda liked it. See Linda in front of the tent in the photo. We sent two nights there, and Linda had a blast. I don't know who came up with the idea that the tent we were in was made for three people, unless you stacked people on top of each other.
Linda and I decided to ruff it, and took Dinty Moore stew and other can food to cook over a fire. I grabed my P38 can opener from the Army and was ready to ruff it. This lasted for one meal and then Linda was cooking over the portable stove.
All in all we had a great time with Sharla's family. They took a ride on the lake on the second day and had a great time. See photo above. I think Sharla and Cameron really love camping as you can see by their photo above.
Linda got home and started buying things to go camping again. Next will be camping with Mark, Suzane and their family who have a trailer that they just bought. I may have to sell my car after Linda sees how nice it is camping in a trailer.
